NFL oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com have the Colts as -13 point road favs over the Rams with the over/under set at 45 points . Be sure to get your Indianapolis Colts vs St. Louis Rams NFL Week 7 Predictions in now at Sportsbook.com The Colts (5-0) were off on a bye week last week. They won in Tennessee 31-9 in Week 5 and sit first in the AFC South. Against the Titans, QB Peyton Manning made 36 of 44 passes for 309 yards with three TD passes and one interception; overall he’s thrown for 1,645 yards with 12 TD passes and four interceptions. RB Joseph Addai had 14 carries for 27 yards with a TD, while WR Austin Collie made eight catches for 97 yards with two TD’s. WR Reggie Wayne had six carries for 60 yards with a TD. The Colts have the third best offense in the league with the best passing game that averages 326 yards a game. Oddly enough they are 29th at running the ball and can improve that stat against the Rams 26th ranked rush defense. Whether it’s second-year WR Pierre Garcon, rookie receiver Austin Collie or rookie RB Donald Brown, the Colts are doing much of their damage with players that many fans may not even have heard of prior to this season. As for defense the Colts allow the second least amount of points per-game (14.2) thanks to their seventh overall ranked defense. They are ninth against the pass and 14th against the rush. Since 2004, the Colts are 48-7 when Manning has at least two touchdown passes. The Colts average 27.4ppg and give up 14.2ppg, while they average 29.7ppg on the road and allow 14ppg. They are 4-1 ATS and 2-3 over/under. The Rams (0-6) lost at Jacksonville 20-23 (OT) in Week 6 and still sit dead last in the NFC West. QB Mark Bulger made 22 of 34 passes for 213 yards with one TD pass and one interception; overall he’s thrown for 640 yards with three TD passes and one interception in four starts. RB Steven Jackson had 16 carries for 50 yards, while WR Donnie Avery caught their lone TD pass. On defense the Rams are struggling. RDE Chris Long, second overall pick of the 2008 draft, has yet to live up to expectations in St. Louis. In 22 career games, Long has only four sacks. He finally got his first start of the season last week and if the Rams are to have any chance of slowing down Peyton Manning, they will need Long and Co. to create some kind of pass rush against the league's least-sacked QB. Their pass defense is currently ranked 27th and their rush defense sits 26th. They give up a 30th ranked 30ppg. The only sort of offense the Rams have is their 17th ranked running game that’ll be up against the Colts 14th ranked rush defense. Steven Jackson has averaged 123.9 yards from scrimmage per game since 2006, the highest average in the league and WR Donnie Avery has a touchdown catch in two straight games. The Rams average 9ppg and give up 28.2ppg, while averaging 13.5ppg at home and allow 37ppg. They are 2-4 ATS and 3-3 over/under. Recent Trends to Consider:
