The Tampa Bay Buccaneers play host to the New England Patriots, Sunday Oct 25, in jolly ole England. This international game will be played at Wembley Stadium, where the last two games weather and field conditions played a big role. NFL oddsmakers at BetUS.com have the Patriots as -14.5 point road favs over the Buccaneers with the over/under set at 45 points . Be sure to get your San Diego Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs NFL Week 7 Picks in now at BetUS.com The Patriots (4-2) skunked Tennessee 59-0 at home in Week 6 and now sit first in the AFC East. QB Tom Brady made 29 of 34 passes for 380 yards with five TD passes in slightly more than a half of action; overall he’s thrown for 1,724 yards with 12 TD passes and two interceptions. RB Laurence Maroney had 16 carries for 123 yards with a TD, while backup QB Brian Hoyer added a TD. WR Wes Welker made 10 catches for 150 yards with two TD’s, while WR Randy Moss made eight catches for 129 yards with three TD’S. RB Kevin Faulk also added a TD. If there’s a team Brady could get similar numbers against it’s against the Bucs, who have given up the league's third-most passing touchdowns (13) and is allowing opposing quarterbacks a 101.0 passer rating this season. They are making QB’s look great. In each of the first two games in London, it was rainy and the field was crap. If there are similar conditions this year, the Patriots would seem to be the benefactors as they play under such conditions often in New England, while the Buccaneers are used to playing in the Florida sunshine. The Pats offense is currently ranked fourth best with a fourth ranked passing game and 13th ranked running game. Their defense is sixth best and they allow the third least amount of points per-game. The Patriots average 27.2ppg and give up 15.2ppg, while they average 13ppg on the road and allow 18ppg. They are 3-3 ATS and 3-3 over/under. Tom Brady has won his last 12 games against the NFC and their defense has forced a turnover in 14 straight games. The Buccaneers (0-6) lost to Carolina 21-28 at home in Week 6 and still sit dead last in the NFC South. QB Josh Johnson made 11 of 17 passes for 147 yards with one interception; overall he’s thrown for 529 yards with three TD passes and five interceptions. RB Carnell Williams had 16 carries for 77 yards with a TD, while WR Sammie Stroughter made three catches for 65 yards. The Bucs outpassed the Panthers but gave up a high 267 yards rushing. The Bucs haven’t won a game nor are they expected to win Sunday. But the Patriots haven’t seen a QB like Josh Johnson, who has great speed and athleticism. He has 141 rushing yards already and his running ability may open things up in the passing game. Against the Patriots sixth ranked pass defense is going to be a hard pill to swallow. Their best bet is to use their 21st ranked running game against the Pats 20th ranked rush defense, weather permitted! The Bucs average 14.8ppg and give up 28ppg, while averaging 14ppg at home and allow 28.7ppg. They are 1-5 ATS and 4-2 over/under. Recent Trends to Consider:
