San Diego's unexpected misery continued last Sunday as the Rams, playing as a +8.5 home dog, scored a shocking 20-17 upset of the Chargers. Norv Tuner's squad, which ranks first in the league in yards per game and yards per game allowed, now stands at 2-4 on the season and 0-4 outside of Qualcomm Stadium.
San Diego's offense had its worst outing of the season in the stunning setback, amassing just 287 total yards while giving up nine sacks. Philip Rivers' numbers relected the Rams consistent pressure as he connected on just 22 of his 37 pass attempts for 249 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
The Chargers defense held St. Louis to 300 total yards, but it could not recover from 17-3 hole they dug before the break.
