Baltimore (4-1, 1-1 V) got a 29-14, home win, over the short-handed Houston Texans, in Week 6. QB Joe Flacco completed 20 of 33 passes for 305 yards and WR Anquan Boldin had eight catches for 132 yards. Flacco had two turnovers, but he also had completions of 51 yards and 56 yards to put Kicker Billy Cundiff in position to score. Cundiff connected from 43, 48, 25, 33 and 40 yards to tie a Ravens record for field goals in a game. The health of Joe Flacco is a major priority for the Baltimore Ravens, and that responsibility falls on an offensive line that must do a better job of protecting the quarterback. Flacco was sacked twice, threw an interception and lost a fumble during their win over the Houston. He was also hit seven times. The last thing the Ravens need is to lose Flacco, especially because his backup is untested rookie Tyrod Taylor. So it is imperative that Baltimore’s offensive front form a sturdier wall, beginning Monday night against Jacksonville. The running game, led by Ray Rice, has been effective. But Flacco has absorbed 10 sacks in five games, fumbled five times and thrown four interceptions, mainly because of pressure in the pocket.

Jacksonville (1-5, 1-2 H) lost to Pittsburgh 13-17, on the road, in Week 6. QB Blaine Gabbert remained winless as a starter, completing 12 of 26 passes for 109 yards and one touchdown. RB Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 96 yards for the Jaguars, who have dropped five in a row to match the franchise's longest losing streak in a decade. Maurice Jones-Drew has 572 rushing yards and ranks third in the NFL behind Oakland's Darren McFadden (610) and Buffalo's Fred Jackson (601). However, Jones-Drew has just two TDs on the ground. He did not score while totaling 78 yards on 23 carries against the Ravens in 2008. Coach Jack Del Rio has not looked totally bad for his decision to finally bench Luke McCown in favor of rookie Blaine Gabbert, who has thrown a TD pass in four straight games since taking over as the starter. The Jags won’t be able to stop the Ravens from getting at their quarterback. Get $50 in Free NFL Picks here.
