NFL Week 8 Predictions: Seattle Seahawks vs Oakland Raiders Betting OddsThe Seahawks (4-2) beat Arizona 22-10, at home, in Week 7 and now sit atop the NFC West. QB Matt Hasselbeck completed 20 of 38 passes for 192 yards with a TD. RB Marshawn Lynch ran for 89 yards off 24 carries, WR Mike Williams made 11 catches for 87 yards with a TD. Their offense went 1 for 7 in the red zone and 1 for 3 on goal to go. The Seahawks O-line allowed Hasselbeck to get sacked five times, and if the Seahawks want to win, they must keep him upright.  Hasselbeck has thrown six touchdowns to go with six interceptions and is averaging only 211 yards per game. The Seahawks are unbeaten since trading for Marshawn Lynch. Seahawks safety Earl Thomas leads all rookies with four interceptions and  Leon Washington leads the NFL with a 35.1 kickoff return average. Coach Pete Carroll's move toward letting younger players get their chance in the spotlight is working wonders. He found just giving the younger players a small sampling of plays versus throwing the entire playbook at them led to their success. "If you look and see what the young players have that's unique and what they do really well and ask them to do those things, and don't ask them to do everything that an experienced player is called on to do, you'll see them be successful. You'll see them feel pretty good about themselves," Carroll said. The Seahawks are ranked 27th overall on offense (292ypg) with a 20th ranked pass game (198ypg) and a 24th ranked running game (95ypg). They score the 20th most amount of points per-game (20ppg). They have a 19th ranked defense overall (338ypg), with a 29th ranked pass rush (261ypg) and the second best ranked rush defense (77ypg). They allow the fifth least amount of points per-game (17.8ppg). Earl Thomas has four interceptions for the Seahawks.

The Raiders (3-4) won big in Denver 59-14, in Week 7, and sit second in the AFC West. QB Jason Campbell made 12 of 20 passes for 204 yards with two TD’s. RB Darren McFadden had 16 carries for a big 165 yards with three TD’s, while RB’s Michael Bush and Marcel Reece each added a TD. WR Zach Miller made three catches for 65 yards with a TD. Their offense generated 328 rushing yards and 180 pass yards. The Raiders are capable of scoring 60pts or giving up 60pts any given Sunday. Inconsistent Oakland has no right to be too high coming off their huge victory. CB Chris Johnson says “It's never a fluke with us," he said. "We have the talent. We're probably the most talented team in the National Football League. If we play like we played (Sunday), and we do the same thing in practice, then we will expect to win and we expect to make plays, and we did that (Sunday)." Raiders coach Tom Cable said Bruce Gradkowski "definitely" will be back at the helm when healthy. Jason Campbell is fresh from a career-best performance (127.9 passer rating) Sunday. Still, Cable said, it's Gradkowski's job until further notice. The Raiders are 17-9 all-time against the Seahawks at home. The Raiders offense is ranked 14th overall (340ypg) with an 25th ranked pass game (182ypg) and the NFL’s third best ranked running game (158ypg). They score the fifth most amount of points per-game (25.6ppg). On defense they are ranked 16th overall (331ypg), with the fifth best ranked pass rush (192ypg), but a 28th ranked rush defense (138ypg). The Raiders give up the 26th most amount of points per-game (23.6ppg).
