The Raiders (2-5) lost to NY Jets 0-38 at home in Week 7 and sit third in the AFC West. QB JaMarcus Russell made 6 of 11 passes for 61 yards with two inceptions before he was replaced by QB Bruce Gradkowski, who made 10 of 19 for 97 yards. RB Justin Fargas had eight carries for 67 yards, while WR Louis Murphy made four catches for 58 yards.  QB Russell was benched after turning the ball over three times in the first half against the Jets, but he will apparently get the start in San Diego. He was dismissive of criticism after the Jets game, saying "I don't think it's me personally, I really don't." How he responds to the benching could go a long ways towards determining his ability to lead the team. His offense is ranked 32nd with a 32nd ranked passing game and 26th ranked running game. The Raiders average a low 8.9ppgand give up a high 25.3ppg , while they average 8.1ppg on the road and allow 27.7ppg. They are 3-4 ATS and 3-4 over/under.

The Chargers (3-3) won in KC 37-7 in Week 7 and sit second in the AFC West. QB Phillip Rivers made 18 of 30 passes for 268 yards with three TD passes; overall he’s thrown for 1,787 yards with 10 TD passes and three interceptions for a 96.1 passer rating. RB LaDainian Tomlinson had 23 carries for 71 yards, while RB Darren Sproles had five carries for 41 yards and he made three catches for 58 yards and a TD. WR Vincent Jackson and TE Antonio Gates each added a TD. The Chargers could’ve done better having missed three of five chances in the red zone. After struggling for most of the year, the Chargers' defense came up with a spirited effort against the Chiefs last week. The focus is now on defensive coordinator Ron Rivera to coax an inspired performance from his unit for the second straight week, something San Diego has yet to do this season. They are ranked 18th overall on defense with an 11th ranked pass rush and 28th ranked rush defense. Their offense is ranked 13th with the fourth best passing game in the league . They still struggle on the ground with a 31st ranked ground game. The Chargers average 26.8ppg and give up 23.8ppg, while averaging 24ppg at home and allow 26ppg. They are 2-4 ATS and 4-1 over/under.
