NFL Power Rankings Week 9

by Matt Foust on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

NFL Power Rankings Week 9: A major shakeup takes place in this week's BetUS.com NFL Power Rankings as the 6-1 Patriots overtake the Jets for the top spot. The Colts also move from the fourth spot to the two spot with New York and Pittsburgh losses. Moving back into the top 10 this week are the Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints, and Green Bay Packers, which have combined to 5-1 in their last six games.

BetUS.com NFL Power Rankings Week 9: NFL Power Rankings Week 9

1. New England Patriots (6-1 SU) (4-2-1 ATS): It has not been 2007 pretty, but it's hard to argue with the 6-1 record.

2. Indianapolis Colts (5-2 SU) (4-2-1 ATS): Indy is officially back in the saddle, having won three straight games.

3. Baltimore Ravens (5-2 SU) (3-3-1 ATS): Coming off a bye, undefeated at home…looks like 6-2 is in order.

4. New York Jets (5-2 SU) (5-2 ATS): Sanchez' performance was a major eyebrow raiser.

5. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2 SU) (4-3 ATS): Appeared to be a fumble away from really making the Saints miserable.

6. Atlanta Falcons (5-2 SU) (4-3 ATS): This weekend's game against the Bucs, amazingly, has some relevance.

7. New York Giants (5-2 SU) (4-3 ATS): They can only hope the bye did not kill their momentum.

8. Kansas City Chiefs (5-2 SU) (5-2 ATS): The Chiefs and Raiders still hate each other, it's just no one has noticed for a while. They will on Sunday.

9.  New Orleans Saints (5-3 SU) (2-5-1 ATS): A season saving primetime victory.

10. Green Bay Packers (5-3 SU) (4-4 ATS):  Does anyone believe that the Bears or Vikings can catch them now?

11. Philadelphia Eagles (4-3 SU) (3-4 ATS):  This team needed the rest, especially with the Colts coming to town.

12. Tennessee Titans (5-3 SU) (5-3 ATS): Sunday's defensive performance against the Chargers gave the Titans some bye week homework.

13. Houston Texans (4-3 SU) (2-4-1 ATS): Are they on the cusp of greatness or is their season on the brink of disaster?

14. Miami Dolphins (4-3 SU) (5-2 ATS): If only Miami played all of its games on the road.

15. San Diego Chargers (3-5 SU) (3-5 ATS): Will Sunday's win be the spark that gets this team going?

16. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2 SU) (3-3-1 ATS): You don't want to believe, but pretty soon you'll have to.

17. Oakland Raiders (4-4 SU) (5-3 ATS): They've been good, bad and ugly, but what will they be going forward?

18. St. Louis Rams (4-4 SU) (6-2 ATS): Bradford has emerged as a leader and the defense looks for real.

19. Washington Redskins (4-4 SU) (4-2-2 ATS): This team should take 8-8 right now.

20. Detroit Lions (2-5 SU) (6-1 ATS): The second half of the season has a chance to be special for this team, especially if Stafford stays healthy.

21. Seattle Seahawks (4-3 SU) (4-3 ATS): Just one of the many Jekyll and Hyde teams that make up the bottom third of the league.

22. Minnesota Vikings (2-5 SU) (2-4-1 ATS): Can the Vikings waive Brad Childress?

23. Chicago Bears (4-3 SU) (3-4 ATS): A loss at Buffalo this weekend could set Lovie Smith's seat ablaze.

24. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-4 SU) (4-4 ATS): Despite his ups and downs, it is clear that David Garrard gives this team a chance to win.

25. Cleveland Browns (2-5 SU) (3-3-1 ATS): What a gift out of the bye, back-to-back games against the Patriots and Jets.

26. San Francisco 49ers (2-6 SU) (3-5 ATS):  If this team has any NFC West hopes left their week 10 meeting with St. Louis is a must win proposition.

27. Cincinnati Bengals (2-5 SU) (2-5 ATS): The Steelers, Colts, and Jets are all in the offing over the next month, which means this team is all but done.

28. Dallas Cowboys (1-6 SU) (1-6 ATS): Wade Phillips was already gone, but Sunday's performance probably assured that he will never be a head coach again.

29. Denver Broncos (2-6 SU) (2-6 ATS): Who would have thought McDaniels would be two and done after last year's 6-0 start?

30. Arizona Cardinals (3-4 SU) (2-5 ATS): There next best opportunity for a win may be a week 14 meeting with the Broncos.

31. Carolina Panthers (1-6 SU) (2-5 ATS): That offense is ugly no matter who is under center.

32. Buffalo Bills (0-7 SU) (3-4 ATS): How do two gut-wrenching losses affect a team that has yet to win a game? We'll find out on Sunday.
