Be sure to get your Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Week 9 Predictions in now at BetUS.com The Chiefs (1-6) lost to San Diego 7-37 in Week 7 and sat out last week with a bye. They are still dead last in the AFC West. Against the Chargers QB Matt Cassel made 10 of 25 passes for 97 yards with one TD pass and three interceptions; overall he’s thrown for 994 yards with eight TD passes and five interceptions for a 73.3 passer rating. RB Larry Johnson had 16 carries for 49 yards, while WR Bobby Wade made four catches for 66 yards. WR Dwayne Bowe made two catches for 11 yards with a TD. The Chiefs defense made no sacks or interceptions on the day. RB Larry Johnson has been suspended this week and it’ll be up to, former Texas Longhorn, RB Jamaal Charles to move the chains . An outstanding performance could cement him as the starter, even after Johnson returns. The Chiefs offense is ranked 30th overall with a 30th ranked pass game and 21st ranked running game. Their defense is just as bad, with an overall 30th ranking, a 28th ranked pass defense and 26th ranked rush defense. This game is going to take place on the ground. The Chiefs average 15ppg and give up 25.9ppg, while they are 1-2 SU on the road where they average 17.3ppg and allow 26ppg. They are 2-5 ATS and 3-2 over/under. QB Matt Cassel has a 7-3 career record on the road as a starter. Dwayne Bowe has a touchdown in two of his past three games. The Jaguars (3-4) lost in Tennessee 13-30 in Week 8 and now sit third in the AFC South. QB David Garrard made 14 of 27 passes for 139 yards with two interceptions; overall he’s thrown for 1,603 yards with five TD passes and five interceptions for a 78.5 passer rating. RB Maurice Jones-Drew had eight carries for 177 yards with two TD’s, while WR Mike Thomas made four catches for 55 yards. The Jags defense made no sacks or interceptions on the day. Despite breaking 79 and 80-yard touchdown runs last week, RB Maurice Jones-Drew got only eight carries. In fact, he has received fewer than 15 carries four times this season despite being the team's unquestioned feature back. He’ll get the carries this week as the Jags use their eighth ranked running game against the Chiefs 27th ranked rush defense. If the Jaguars' 24th overall ranking in defense wasn't bad enough, the unit has simply been unable to generate any sort of big plays. Jacksonville is last in the league in sacks with five and also ranks among the league's worst teams at picking off passes and forcing fumbles . It will be crucial for the Jags to make some plays vs. Kansas City's mistake-prone offense. The Jags average 19ppg and give up 25.3ppg, while they are 2-1 SU at home where they average 25.7ppg and allow 22.7ppg. They are 3-4 ATS and 4-3 over/under. Recent Trends to Consider:
