Green Bay (7-0, 4-0 V) was on their bye week in Week 8. In Week 7 they got a 33-27,road win, over the Vikings. QB Aaron Rodgers kept Green Bay unbeaten with three touchdowns and 335 yards passing. Rodgers finished 24 for 30, another near-unstoppable afternoon for him. Mason Crosby had four field goals for the Packers, including a franchise record 58-yarder.

Aaron Rodgers recently won the NFC's offensive player of the month award, the third consecutive month he's taken it home. In four games last month — all Green Bay wins — Rodgers completed 71.3% of his passes for 1,455 yards, 12 TDs, two INTs and a 129.4 passer rating. He's exceeded a 110.0 passer rating in all seven of his 2011 starts, a record to start a season. Rodgers is also the first player to throw for 2,300 yards (2,372 to be exact) and 20 TDs in the first seven games of a season. Greg Jennings is one of football's best receivers, and TE Jermichael Finley is a rising star. WR’ss Jordy Nelson and James Jones are hitting their prime, Driver remains crafty, and rookie No. 5 WR Randall Cobb would start for many teams. Heck, even the running game is rounding into form thanks to second-year back James Starks.

San Diego (4-3, 3-0 H) lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 20-23 (OT), on the road, in Week 8. QB Phillip Rivers completed 26 of 41 passes for 369 yards, while RB Curtis Brinkley added their lone touchdown. The Chargers were called for 12 penalties worth 105 yards in a gruesome game.

Injury has cost Antonio Gates three games this season, but he’s back in the lineup and he has long been Philip Rivers’ go-to guy. The Chargers’ running game is not to be taken lightly. It’s 13th in the league and that’s more than respectable for a team that wants to throw the ball. Starting fast has long been a Chargers trademark, especially at home. It has also been the Packers’ trademark through their 13-game winning streak. The team that starts fastest will probably win this game. The Chargers had the worst special teams in the league last year, and they are down at the bottom of the rankings again this season. Win the turnover battle, the Chargers are minus-five in turnover differential, the Packers are plus-eight. Get $50 in Free NFL Picks here.
