NFL Betting Odds Week 9: There are five 4 PM games scheduled on the 2011 NFL Week 9, each with significance in the AFC and NFC standings. The AFC West is the tightest it has been for quite some time, as the Bolts are no longer the team to beat. One of those new contenders with an opportunity to step up and snatch the division title is the (4-3) Oakland Raiders [-8].
On Sunday afternoon, the Silver and Black welcome Tim Tebow and the struggling (2-5) Denver Broncos [+8] to the O.Co Coliseum in the East Bay. This will be Carson Palmer’s first start as a Raider, following a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals just a couple of weeks ago.
The Raiders’ bread and butter this season has been their running game. In today’s game, Denver’s defense will get a break, as Darren McFadden is expected to sit this one out due to a foot injury. However, this is no time to relax for the Broncos, as backup running back, Michael Bush is no slouch coming out of the backfield. Get $50 in Free NFL Picks here!
Although I believe the Raiders will win this game, I don’t believe it’s going to be the blowout everyone expects. In fact, I actually predict that Denver will be a much better game than it did last week against the Lions. I really, truly think Tebow will eventually get what it’s necessary to be an NFL quarterback and make lemonade. Watch how the Broncos keep it close than 9 points…
