In a NFL Week 10 matchup the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals hook up once again after meeting in their first games of the season. In the season opener the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Baltimore Ravens 27-20 in a matchup that many thought go a long way to establishing the front runner of their division. Not a couple of months later and you have these same two teams both in the midst of two game losing streaks. The Bengals however are in a must win situation as they sit just 2-6 SU having lost six of their last seven games. The Bengals have drained the bankroll as well going only 2-5 ATS. The Cincinnati defense has been horrid and ranks at the bottom of the NFL in two defensive categories, Points and Yards per Play Allowed for a league-high 244 points. SBGglobal.com has installed the Bengals as 4 point underdogs.
Last week the Bengals allowed the Buffalo to score 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to go down to defeat 33-21. It was only the second time that Buffalo has scored 20 points this season. To hurt the Bengals even more was that WR Chad Johnson was taken off the field on a stretcher after receiving a hit over the middle by Bills safety Donte Whitner.
After a bye week the Baltimore Ravens tuned in a horrible performance on Monday night as they got pasted by the Pittsburgh Steelers 35-7 loss. The loss dropped the Ravens to 4-4 SU and a disastrous 1-7 ATS. In last week’s game QB Steve McNair completed 13-of-22 passes for an anemic 62 yards. RB Willis rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries but was knocked out of the game with 6:59 to play with a concussion. McGahee is currently the fourth-leading rusher in the AFC.
The one ray of hope for the Bengals in this one is that they have had success versus the Ravens winning two of their L3 games SU & ATS. Prior to their week #1 win the Bengals were on a 5-1 SU & ATS run vs. the Ravens. However, they haven’t been very successful as a divisional underdog looking for revenge posting only a 4-18 ATS mark. Add that to the fact that Baltimore is 4-0 SU & 3-1 at home versus a divisional opponent and you might have the winner.
