Dallas, despite its woeful record, has fought hard in most of its losses, but the team played with a defeated attitude against the Jaguars last week. Jacksonville, which had been railroaded in its previous two contests by the Titans and Chiefs, put a 35-17 whipping on the Cowboys in the Big D.
The Jags produced 387 total yards and controlled the clock thanks to 149 rush yards and four interceptions. Quarterback Jon Kitna, who filled in for the injured Tony Romo, did throw for 379 yards and one touchdown, but his self-destructive nature spoiled any positives.
A few weeks ago Green Bay looked as though it may be headed the way of the Cowboys…big expectations, horrendous results. However, the Packers overcame three losses in four weeks as well as a plethora of injuries, and now sit atop the NFC North standings with a 5-3 record.
Green Bay comes into this evening's game looking for its third consecutive victory and fourth win at Lambeau Field. Given the way Dallas has played of late, especially its defense (allowed an average of 33.5 points per game in its last four outings), both of those things appear more than reasonable prospects.
