Miami Dolphins vs Baltimore Ravens 2010 NFL Predictions, Picks & Odds

by Matt Foust on Sunday, November 7th, 2010

Miami Dolphins vs Baltimore Ravens 2010 NFL Predictions, 2010 NFL Picks & 2010 NFL Odds: The Miami Dolphins will attempt to lasso their fifth road win of the season today as they take on the Ravens in Baltimore. This afternoon AFC skirmish is slated for a 1:00pm ET kickoff at M&T Bank Stadium; it will be broadcast live on CBS. 2010 NL Predictions, Picks & Odds at online bookmaker BetUS.com have the Ravens listed as a -5 against the spread home favorite and the Over/Under set at 40.5.

The Baltimore Ravens last saw action two weekends ago when they narrowly escaped the Bills 37-34 in overtime at M&T Miami Dolphins vs Baltimore Ravens 2010 NFL Predictions, Picks & OddsBank Stadium. But escape they did and that victory improved their record to 5-2 and sent them into the bye week on a high note.

Unfortunately for John Harbaugh's squad, they get to face the NFL's best road team, the Miami Dolphins, coming out of their break. The Fins are not among the league's elite at this point in the season; however, they bring a fight week in and week out, particularly away from home, where they have procured wins over Buffalo, Minnesota, Green Bay, and Cincinnati.

Miami, despite having Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams in the backfield, has not featured an overpowering run game this season, which means an aerial attack may be the best plan against the Ravens today. Baltimore ranks 10th in yards per game allowed, but it has shown some chinks in its vaunted defensive armor on a few occasions this year.

The Broncos, Patriots, and Bills, the Ravens last three opponents, all found success through the air, combining to throw for 956 yards. Chad Henne will not be mistaken for the second coming of Dan Marino anytime soon, but he is a capable passer when given time (Ravens rank 24th in the league with 12 sacks). Miami also has a nice group of receivers, including Brandon Marshall, Davone Bess, and Anthony Fasano, which are skillful enough to produce trouble for Baltimore's secondary.

The Ravens are always tough at home, but Miami will not go quietly in this one.

NFL Picks Betting Trend: Baltimore is 8-2 against the spread and 9-1 straight up in its last 10 games as a home favorite with a total between 37 and 41.
