Rivers has thrown for 2649 yards and 15 touchdowns in eight games, Houston simply does not have the defensive weapons to stop him.
Offensively the Texans do have the personnel to hang with the Chargers. Houston has the 13th ranked passing attack (231 yards per game) and the sixth best rushing attack (136 yards per game). Running back Arian Foster, who ranks second in the league with 737 rush yards, will challenge San Diego's front seven, but he must find success in order for Houston to win the game.
The Chargers defense ranks first in yards per game allowed and they are the second best team defensing the run. Foster will have to do better than the 59 yards on 15 carries that Chris Johnson produced last week against Ron Rivera's defense.
