Oddsmakers Favor Dolphins Over Rams to Go Winless

by Alexander Banks on Friday, November 9th, 2007

The New England Patriots proved to the world they were the best team in the NFL this season by beating the defending Super Bowl Champion Colts in Indianapolis on Sunday. SportsBook.com has the Patriots +115 to go undefeated . However, the worst team in the NFL is definitely open to debate with no shortage of candidates. Heading the list are the winless St. Louis Rams and Miami Dolphins.

"Do to the spy gate issue unfortunetalty the New England Patriots won't get the real respect they deserve," stated Point-Spreads.com NFL Picks Expert NoiBet.  "Especially from the 1972 undefeated Dolphin veterans. Im sure like most of the negative comments I've heard from fans and media. They will hold the spy gate issue over the Patriots head."

While the Patriots are well on their way to accomplishing something that hasn’t been achieved since 1972, an undefeated season; the Rams and Dolphins are trying to keep from being the first team to go winless since the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ironically enough, the Dolphins were the last team to go undefeated so if the Patriots also go undefeated to couple with a winless season, there will be very little celebrating in Miami this winter. A yearly ritual, Dolphins from the ’72 team meet every year to pop some champagne and celebrate when the last undefeated team finally loses. To make things a bit more interesting, this past week legendary head coach of the ’72 Fins Don Shula stated that if the Patriots do run the table, they should have an asterisk next to the record due to “spy gate”.

With the Rams and Dolphins well on their way to accomplishing the “imperfect season ”, Sportsbook.com is offering odds on whether each team can go through the complete 16 game schedule without being able to muster up at least one measly victory. Although the season is only half over, each team has displayed that they are fully capable of registering 16 consecutive loses.
