The NFC South leading Carolina Panthers will travel cross country this weekend to take on the Oakland Disa-Raiders. Oakland, who will be hosting an NFC South opponent for the second week in a row, can only hope for a better result than last week's 24-0 shut out at the hands of Atlanta.
NFL Predictions at SBGglobal.com have the Panthers as a -9.5 road favorite. 
Carolina is coming off a bye week but they scored wins against the Cardinals and Saints prior to their brief vacation. The Panthers have been one of the more complete teams this year as their 6-2 record would indicate. They have averaged 21.8 points per game and have held opponents to 15.9 points per game.
Oakland has had little go right this season both on the field and off it. The Raiders did get an uncharacteristic overtime win against the Jets a couple of weeks ago, but their success was short lived. Two weeks ago Baltimore destroyed the swashbucklers on the road and the Falcons dominated from the them get-go last Sunday.
Tom Cable's offense will find the sledding tough against the Panthers defense; on the season they are averaging just 13.4 points per game.
NFL Predictions Trend: The Panthers are 7-3 straight up in their last 10 as a road favorite.
