In a rare inter-conference matchup in Week 11 the Arizona Cardinals will be an NFL Pick and play the Cincinnati Bengals for only the second time in the last ten years. The Cardinals are coming off a well played game last week that saw them beat the Detroit Lions 31-21 that snapped a three game losing streak and left them at 4-5 SU on the season. QB Kurt Warner, played with a torn ligament in his left shoulder but was able to complete 26 of 36 passes for 259 yards and three touchdowns. Backup Tim Rattay, who relieved Warner also had a touchdown pass. The Cardinals had the ball for more than 21 of the first 30 minutes of play and had a 14-2 advantage in first downs. The Lions defense stepped up as they intercepted two passes and forced a fumble to make the mistake-prone Detroit Lions look like the lowly Lions of old. BetUs.com has the Cardinals listed as a +3 underdog.
Although the Bengals are coming off a big win over the recently hapless Baltimore Ravens still sit at only 3-6 SU on the season and 4 games out of first place. Cincinnati went into last weeks game with the Ravens having the 31st-ranked defense and was tied with winless Miami for most points allowed having given up over 20 points in every game this season. Fortunately they faced and anemic Baltimore offense holding them to only 7 points and forcing 6 turnovers. QB Carson Palmer went 23-for-34 for 271 yards and no touchdowns. All of the scoring came from kicker Shayne Graham who kicked and NFL record tying 7 field goals.
Arizona has played well on the road this season going 7-2 ATS in its L9 games as has a three game ATS winning streak versus the AFC. Cincinnati has also been on a streak of their own as they are 20-12-2 ATS when hosting NFC opponents. One of the problems though is that Cincinnati has not won back-to-back games since December of last year.
