In what was a game for the Division lead last week against Cleveland, the Pittsburgh Steelers had to come from a 21-9 first half deficit in order to beat the Cleveland Browns in a wild 31-28 victory. The win solidified their position atop their division at 7-2 SU and opened up a two game lead over the Browns. The Browns were able to keep it close with an interception and two long kickoff returns for touchdowns by Joshua Cribbs. QB Ben Roethlisberger was the hero in this one as he completed 23 of 34 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns. Previous to their bye week the Jets lost to the Washington Redskins in overtime 23-20 as 3.5 point dogs for their 6yh loss in a row but did cover the number for their first ATS win in that span. The Jets might have found their replacement for Chad Pennington as new starter, Kellen Clemens kept the Jets in the game completing 23 of 42 passes for 226 yards and a touchdown along with 48 rushing yards on seven carries.
This will be the first time since 2003 that the Steelers will face the Jets in New York. Even with their horrible season there might be some hope for the Jets as they have won their L5 games ATS coming out a bye week. Pittsburgh has a counter to that as they are 13-4 ATS when coming off of back to back home wins.
