New England's offense, despite Brady's performance this season, ranks 20th in yards per game at 324.4. Granted, the Patriots are second in scoring (27.4 points per game), but their point totals have been greatly padded by special teams and defensive touchdowns.
Brady has lefted the team up, though, compiling a 95.7 passer rating after completing 63. 6 percent of his passes for 1826 yards, 14 touchdowns, and four interceptions.
Pittsburgh comes into this evening's game with the same 6-2 mark, but it has been far more impressive in producing that record than New England. The Steelers, which beat the Bengals 27-21 on Monday night in Cincinnati, ranks first in points per game allowed (15.4) and fourth in yards per game (298.2), giving them the best all-around defense in the league.
Pittsburgh's offense has experienced a few more struggles, as its 299.6 yards per game would indicate (28th); however, the unit is starting to come around since Ben Roethlisberger returned to the lineup four weeks ago. With Big Ben under center the Steelers are averaging 330 yards per game, a significant increase in output over its first four games.
