The surprising Tennessee Titans visit the Denver Broncos in a Week 11 Monday Night Football match up. The Titans missed a chance to tie the Indianapolis Colts for the top spot in their division when they dropped a 28-13 decision to the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. The loss dropped them into a tie with Jacksonville at 6-3 SU. The one advantage that Tennessee might have going into this one is the fact that their offensive strength is in their running game. Tennessee comes into this game averaging 139.8 yards per game and are the 4th ranked running attack in the league. They will be facing a Denver Broncos defense who ranks second to last in run defense giving up an average of 151 yards per game. However, the Titans struggled to run the ball versus the Jaguars compiling only 62 total yards and thus had to rely on Vince Young’s arm. Young did have a decent game in response to the lack of a running attack as he completed 24 of 41 attempts for 257 yards but had two interceptions. It was his highest passing total of his young career. BeUs.com has Tennessee a -2 point underdog for this Monday Night clash.
Denver might have gained some confidence on defense last week in a 27-11 win over the Kansas City Chiefs as they gave up 284 total yards, their second lowest total of the season. In addition the 11 points allowed was the lowest point total that they have yielded this season and put them at 4-5 SU on the season. In addition to Denver's good defensive performance they also finally got a good game out of their ground attack as undrafted rookie RB Selvin Young rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown. Last weeks win was only Denver’s second win in their last seven games but it did keep them only one game in back of the San Diego Chargers for the top spot in the Division.
The fact that Tennessee is listed as a dog in this one could be a great opportunity for bettors as the Titans are an unbelievable 13-2 ATS in their L15 as an underdog. Contrary to that Denver has been horrible at home going 2-11 ATS their L13 games.Â
