NFL Spreads Week 11: Denver and the NY Jets got week 11 off to a booming start last night, setting the tone for what should be an exciting week of NFL action. Speaking of action, or in this case, lack thereof, the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers will not be seen this week, as they enter a bye.
With three of those four teams being division leaders, a week off could give all the teams chasing them a great chance to make up some ground. In the AFC North, the race couldn’t be tighter. Going into Week 11, only ½ game separates three teams: (7-3) Steelers, (6-3) Cincinnati Bengals and (6-3) Baltimore Ravens. Luckily for Pittsburgh, one of those two teams will loose this week.
M&T Bank Stadium will be the site for what could be considered the game of the week between the Bengals [+7] and the NFL Point Spreads favorite Ravens [-7]. Both teams are coming off very disappointing losses last week. For the Bengals, they missed a great opportunity, as turnovers sealed their fate against Pittsburgh.
For the Ravens, a huge in over the Steelers was nullified. Baltimore went into Seattle and played terrible in a loss to the far less-talented Seahawks. This should be a great bounce back game for the Ravens, who will have to find a way to win without Ray Lewis. The veteran linebacker will miss Sunday’s game against the Bengals due to a toe injury.
