The Indianapolis Colts look to shake off the injury bug and be the NFL Pick in Week 12 of the NFL as they travel to take on the Atlanta Falcons.  The Colts have looked like everything but the defending Super Bowl Champs as they have dropped two of their last three games to sit at 8-2 SU overall.  Last week the Colts survived another sub par performance by Payton Manning in beating the Kansas City Chiefs 13-10.  Indianapolis had only 73 yards of total offense in the first half, marking the first time this season it had not produced a first-half touchdown. This was the fourth week without WR Marvin Harrison and it looks as if it is taking it’s toll on Manning as he was only 16-of-32 for 163 yards with one interception and a QB rating of 52.0.  The Colts didn’t get much help in the way of a running attack either as RB Joseph Addai rushed for only 72 yards on 21 carriers.  BetOnline.com has the Colts a big -11.5 point favorite.

The Falcons come into this one looking to be a bit confused about who their starting QB should or shouldn’t be.  In a somewhat surprising move Head Coach Bobby Petrino decided to go with Byron Leftwich after previous starter Joey Harrington had steered the Falcons to two wins in a row to put them at 3-7 SU overall.  The change in QB’s just about blew up in Petrino’s face as Leftwich proceeded to have one of his worst games completing 15-of-28 for 106 yards with two interceptions and two fumbles.  They Falcons then decided to go back to Joey Harrington in the third quarter and he went 16 of 20 for 139 yards.  But it really didn’t matter as the Falcons were already down 24-0 at that point.  Warrick Dunn should have stayed home as he carried the ball 15 times for a whopping 32 yards.

The Colt come into this one at 1-2 SU & ATS in its L3 while their 13 total points last week was their lowest total since 1995. However the lowly Falcons are 4-16 ATS as a home dog and are only 1-10 ATS in its L11 second half games versus teams with a winning record.

Indianapolis looks to be in trouble and have to cover a pretty hefty number this week, but will they?
