NFL Picks Week 12: Buffalo Bills vs Jacksonville Jaguars

NFL Picks Week 12: Buffalo Bills vs Jacksonville JaguarsThe Buffalo Bills take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12 hoping to rebound from an embarrassing 56-10 loss to the Patriots after being an NFL Picks team and winning their last four in a row.  The loss to the Patriots left the Bills at and even 5-5 SU on the season.  The 56 points allowed by the Bills were the most points scored by a road team since 1973 and was the worst margin of defeat for Buffalo since a 43 point loss to Baltimore in 1970.  QB J.P. Losman while playing catchup all night long ended completing 15 of 26 passes for 173 yards with one touchdown and one interception.  That interception came on the fourth play from scrimmage for the Bills and set up a 6-yard TD run by Patriots RB Laurence Maroney.  Losman tied RB Antony Thomas for the most rushing years while each of them complied 31.  BoDog.com has the Bills coming into this game as a -7.5 underdog to the Jags.

The Jacksonville Jaguars kept pace with the Indianapolis Colts and hold the top AFC Wildcard spot while remaining only one game in back as they took care of the San Diego Chargers last week 24-17 for their second win in row and put them at 7-3 SU.  Last week marked the return of QB David Garrad who had missed about a month with an angle injury.  It certainly helped the Jacksonville offense that has been struggling as he hit 15-of-24 for 189 yards and directed three scoring drives in the first half. RB Fred Taylor also had a big day as he ran for 85 yards and set the franchise record for yards from scrimmage, passing the previous mark of 12,285 yards set by WR Jimmy Smith.  Although the Jacksonville defense gave up only 17 points they did allow San Diego QB Phillip Rivers to pass for over 300 yards.

Jacksonville might be a heavy favorite but that could be good news for Bills fans as they are 13-6 ATS as dogs under head coach Dick Jauron while Jacksonville is just 4-3 SU & 1-6 ATS in its L7 home games when favored by a touchdown or more. The Bills have owned this series recently as they are 4-1 SU & ATS in the last five games. Another factor helping the Bills is they are an unbelievable14-1 ATS in their L15 games after facing New England.

So is Buffalo worth putting your hard earned money on this one?
