2011 NFL Predictions Week 11: Week 11 of the 2011 NFL season will be a key week in terms of the standings. With just six weeks remaining in the regular season, this is the time to get hot. It has been a highly contested season thus far, but sooner or later, we have to separate the pretenders from the contenders. I will give you my best and surest picks for this NFL week 11.
Three division leaders will be in byes this week, as Texans, Colts, Saints and Steelers will be watching closely. Currently, there are seven games scheduled for 1 PM ET. I will give you my top picks for that time slot first, and give you the rest later on today in my odds piece.
I’ve got an upset right off the bat in the (5-4) Buffalo Bills [+3] versus the (2-7) Miami Dolphins [-3]. It now seems like such long ago when the Bills led the AFC East and the Fins were winless. Miami has come roaring back to win two straight, while Buffalo has gone in the opposite direction, losing two in a row after blanking out Washington.
After getting dismantled by the Cowboys defense last week, I like the Bills to have a breakout game against a team with a very fragile chemistry. I like the Bills with a 3-point cushion in this one. Another 1 PM game I like is the one taking place at Mall of America Field.
The AFC West leading (5-4) Oakland Raiders [0] are getting no respect from NFL Week 11 NFL Point Spreads experts, as they are evenly listed with the (2-7) Minnesota Vikings [0]. At the start of the week, the Silver and Black were listed as the favorites for this matchup. But with Darren McFadden sitting this one out, things have evened up.
I like the Raiders in this game on the strength of a huge day for Carson Palmer. The combination of Adrian Peterson plus the Raiders poor rush defense makes it for a close encounter. However, the difference in this game is going to be Palmer’s ability to hit his receivers and exploit the Vikings’ weak secondary and pass defense… I like the Raiders over the Vikings!
