Saints Breakdown: New Orleans improved to 9-0 last weekend, but it certainly did not look pretty doing. The Saints just got 
by a 1-8 Rams squad in St. Louis, scoring a 28-23 win. Granted, Sean Payton's crew is tremendously banged up on the defensive side of the ball, but they still gave up 434 yards to a team that is averaging just 11.1 points per game. It was as if the Saints felt they could just roll the helmets out there against a poor St. Louis team and still grab an easy victory.
Last week's scare probably ensured that the team will be more focused today, especially against a division foe.
"We're not content with where we are at and we're certainly not content with the way we have played these last few weeks," quarterback Drew Brees said. "We need to close the game when given the opportunity."
Buccaneers Breakdown: It did not take Tampa Bay long to return to its losing ways, but at least the team fought hard in last week's narrow 23-25 loss at Miami. The Bucs offense did not do much, racking up just 16 first downs and 302 total yards, but it was the team's defense that really suffered. The Dolphins rushing attack had little trouble against Tampa's soft front seven, amassing 199 yards on the ground at a 5.5 yards per carry clip. Those numbers do not bode well for a team taking on a Saints squad that ranks third in the league in rush yards per game with an average of 152.2.
