The Steelers (7-3) (4-1 V) killed Oakland 35-3, at home, in Week 11 and now sit tied for first in the AFC North. QB Ben Roethlisberger completed 18 of 29 passes for 275 yards with three TD’s and one rushing TD. RB Rashard Mendenhall had 23 carries for 59 yards with a TD, while WR Mike Wallace made three catches for 116 yards with one TD. WR Emmanuel Sanders and Isaac Redman each got in on the action and added a TD. Their defense got six sacks and pulled down two interceptions. Pittsburgh set a franchise record with 163 yards on 14 penalties, and it's possible they're being made an example of almost on a weekly basis. In the new-age NFL where playing punishing defense is becoming increasingly frowned upon, the Steelers are the team that most exemplifies that style. Pittsburgh is playing hard-nosed defense the only way it knows how in a rapidly-changing climate, and it's leaving the Steelers confused at times.  "If you look at the offensive and defensive line, it's helmet-to-helmet [contact] every play," Woodley said. "If that was the case, you might as well throw a flag every time." The Steelers are ranked 22nd on offense (325ypg) with a 21st ranked pass game (207ypg) and an 11th ranked ground game (118ypg). The Steelers score the 14th most points per-game (23.5ppg). Rashard Mendenhall leads their offense with eight TD’s. The Steelers do battle against the Bills 25th ranked defense (372ypg), their ninth ranked pass rush (208ypg) and their league worst ranked rush defense (163ypg). The Bills give up the 29th most points per-game (27.6ppg).

The Bills (2-8) (1-3 H) won in Cincinnati 49-13, in Week 11 but still sit last in the AFC East. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick matched his career high with four touchdown passes during Buffalo's biggest comeback in 13 years. Steve Johnson caught three of the touchdown passes, including an 11-yarder that put Buffalo ahead 35-31 early in the fourth quarter. Johnson finished with eight catches for 137 yards. The Bills spent the first half of the season perfecting ways to lose, now their finding ways to win. "At some point, man, it's enough. We're not going to find a new way to lose a game." "The best way to learn is from mistakes," he said. "And we made a lot of mistakes, so we've learned a lot, you know." The Bills are turning a corner thanks to improved play on both sides of the ball. Fitzpatrick made 10 of 13 for 139 yards passing and three TD’s in the second half. His favorite target was Steve Johnson, who scored three times to continue what's been a breakout season for the 2007 seventh-round draft pick. Johnson has nine TD’s — three short of breaking the franchise single-season record and entered Monday tied for second among NFL receivers this year. The Bills defense did its part by forcing three turnovers and shutting out the Bengals in the second half. The progress is evident on defense, too. After managing four takeaways in its first five games, Buffalo's managed eight in its past five. And they're allowing 145 yards rushing over the past five, nearly 40 yards fewer than the first five. The Bills are ranked 24th on offense (317ypg) with a 23rd ranked pass game (203ypg) and a 14th ranked ground game (113ypg). Steve Johnson leads the Bills with nine TD’s. The Bills fight the Steelers fifth ranked defense (302ypg), their 22nd ranked pass rush (239ypg) and the NFL’s best ranked rush defense (63ypg). The Steelers give up the third least amount of points per-game (16.5ppg).
