Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Jets 2010 NFL Odds, Picks & Predictions

by Matt Foust on Thursday, November 25th, 2010

Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Jets 2010 NFL Odds, 2010 NFL Picks & 2010 NFL Predictions: The woeful Bengals will attempt to halt their seven game skid tonight as they take on the Jets in a Thanksgiving Day special at the New Meadowlands Stadium. This evening's game is scheduled to get underway at 8:20pm ET on the NFL Network. 2010 NFL Odds, Picks & Predictions at Sportsbook.com have New York listed as a -9 against the spread home favorite; the Over/Under is set at 43.5.

Since scoring back-to-back wins against the Ravens and Panthers in weeks two and three, the Bengals season has spiraled Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Jets 2010 NFL Odds, Picks & Predictionsslowed into the abyss. Cincinnati has been unable to manufacture a win in its last seven games, sending the team's record to a lowly 2-8.

The Bengals latest setback had to be particularly distasteful to Head Coach Marvin Lewis as the one win Bills came into Paul Brown Stadium and thumped his team 49-31. Making matters worse, though, was the fact that Cincinnati had a commanding 31-14 halftime. Apparently the Bengals put it on ice at the break as Buffalo came out in the second half and scored 35 unanswered points.

Cincinnati, which is just 1-4 away from home, has remained competitive, for the most part, during its losing streak. In their last three road outings the Bengals have lost by an average of 5.3 points per game while posting 69 points (23 points per game).

New York comes into tonight's game with an 8-2 record and a first place position in the AFC East standings. The Jets, though, have skirted disaster the last three weeks, beating Detroit, Cleveland, and Houston by a combined 12 points. Rex Ryan's troops needed overtime to get past both the Lions and Browns, and last weekend's victory against the Texans required some last second heroics on the part of Mark Sanchez and Santonio Holmes.

The Jets will try to avoid the cardiac moments that have come to characterize their season when they take the field against the Bengals tonight; however, given that they are 3-2 at their new digs, nothing is a guarantee  with this team.

NFL Picks Betting Trend: The Jets are 3-0 both straight up and against the spread over the last five years playing as a home favorite coming off a home win. The Bengals are 0-3 SU and ATS
