Detroit, which is just 2-8 overall but 7-3 against the spread, last played at Ford Field three weekend's ago when it lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Jets. New York scored a 23-20 overtime victory to hand the Lions their second three point home loss of the season (Eagles 35-32 in week two).
Despite their solid play in the Motor City this season, the Lions have not fared well in their traditional Thanksgiving host role of late. Detroit has not won on Thanksgiving since turning back the Packers 22-14 in 2003. The Lions are 0-5 straight up and against the spread in their last five holiday outings, losing to the Falcons, Dolphins, Packers (twice), and Titans by an average of 21.4 points per game.
