Cleveland Browns vs Cincinnati Bengals Spread 2011 NFL Picks Week 12: After a tough couple of weeks in which they played Pittsburgh and Baltimore, the (6-4) Cincinnati Bengals [-7.5] should get back on the win column when the NFL Point Spreads underdog (4-6) Cleveland Browns [+7.5] come to town.
Paul Brown Stadium in Cincy, Ohio, will be the site for this AFC North rivalry game. Opening kickoff is scheduled for 1 PM ET on CBS Sports. According to NFL Picks Week 12 specialists, the OVER/UNDER between the Browns and Bengals is set at a combined total of 37.5 points scored.
For the Browns, they were able to snap a three-game skid with a 14-10 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. The combination of quarterback Colt McCoy and running back Chris Ogbonnaya proved to be too much for the Jags to handle. McCoy finished the day going 17-for-24, for 199 yards, one score and a pick. Ogbonnaya took care of the rest, rushing for 115 yards on 21 carries and a touchdown.
"Everybody played their hearts out and it's about time it went our way," said Browns linebacker D'Qwell Jackson. "We knew it was up to us. Right there. We had to make the play and we did."
For the Bengals, they couldn’t capitalize on an opportunity to mover head in the AFC North. Playing the Steelers and Ravens on back-to-back weeks appeared to be the perfect time for this team to test itself and see where they stand in the playoff hunt. Unfortunately for them, they failed miserably, dropping both decisions.
However, the Bengals are still very much alive in the Wild Card chase. If the playoffs started today, Cincinnati would make it into the postseason as a lowest Wild Card seed just behind Pittsburgh.
Rookie quarterback, Andy Dalton is coming off another solid effort, as he threw for a career-high 45 pass attempts, completing 24 of them for a total of 373 yards and a score. The game was decided in the fourth quarter, as Dalton threw two costly picks, which put an end to Cincy’s hopes of a comeback.
"Three mistakes and all three of them I can live with," said Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden. "He did a great job. For the most part having to come from behind and throw (a career-high 45) times … he kept us in it."
