New York Giants vs Denver Broncos NFL Odds, NFL Picks & NFL Predictions: The scuffling Broncos are set to do battle with the New York football Giants tonight at Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium. The NFL Network Thanksgiving special is scheduled to get underway at 8:30pm ET. NFL Odds at SBGglobal.com have the Broncos listed as a +6.5 against the spread home underdog.
Giants Breakdown: New York, which is 6-4 overall and in third place in the NFC East, came off of its bye week and snapped a
four game losing streak by beating Atlanta 34-31 in overtime at the Meadowlands. The Giants offense had its biggest outburst since a week six loss at New Orleans, posting 26 first downs and 456 total yards. Eli Manning had a terrific game, completing 25-of-39 passes for 384 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.
The Giants defense, however, continued to struggle, giving up 27 first downs and 352 yards to the Falcons. Atlanta also converted 9-of-16 first downs against the group, which has allowed an average of 32.8 points per game over the last five weeks.
Head Coach Tom Coughlin expressed confidence that his team will be able to perform well this evening despite the quick turnaround.
"The demands are great," Coughlin said. "The players can do it. You set your mind to it and they can do it."
Broncos Breakdown: Denver fell to 6-4 on Sunday and lost its first place standing in the AFC West after the Chargers came into Mile High and laid a 32-3 beat down on Josh McDaniels squad. The Broncos offense, as evidenced by the score, faltered, producing just 14 first downs and 271 yards. Quarterback Kyle Orton, who did not start the game due to an ankle injury, completed 15-of-29 passes for 171 yards and an interception.
McDaniels will not have much time to get the offense corrected with the short rest, but going against the Giants recently woeful defense might be a magic eilxir. However, New York may be eyeing a turnaround as well, facing off against an offense that has scored 37 points over the last four games.
"We've got to do better earlier in the game so that we can stay balanced, run the ball effectively and throw the ball effectively at the same time without giving away what we have to do," McDaniels said.
NFL Odds Betting Trend: The Giants are 8-2 straight up (6-4 ATS) and the Under is 8-2 in New York's last 10 games as a road favorite with a spread between 4 and 7.5.
