The Titans (5-5) (3-2 V) lost to Washington 16-19 (OT), at home, in Week 11 and have dropped to third in the AFC South. QB Vince Young completed just 12 of 16 for 165 yards. RB Chris Johnson had 21 carries for 130 yards, while Nate Washington made five catches for 117 yards. WR Randy Moss again wasn’t much help to their offense after being targeted three times, catching none. Their defense had three sacks and an interception. Vince Young has been put on injured reserve after suffering a right thumb injury that will require surgery. But, his days as a Titan maybe numbered after he went off in the locker room last week. The latest incident involving Young happened in front of the entire team, and not behind closed doors. The team saw it for themselves, and there’s no way that can sit well with anyone who is trying to win football games. You can’t follow someone who is supposed to be a leader and creates this drama. If the Titans ever call on Young again, we’ll see if he’s prepared for that moment. If not, Fisher and the Titans will roll without him. Head coach Jeff Fisher indicated after the loss that Smith will get the starting nod at Houston.  If so, Smith would be the third different player to start at quarterback for the Titans in three weeks. The Titans offense is ranked 26th overall (311ypg) with a 31st ranked pass game (184ypg) and a ninth ranked running game (127ypg). RB Chris Johnson leads their offense with nine TD’s. They score the fifth most amount of points per-game (25.7ppg). The Titans go up against the Texans second worst defense (408ypg), the NFL’s worst ranked pass rush (301ypg) and their 16th ranked rush defense (107ypg). The Texans give up the second most amount of points per-game (28.7ppg).

The Texans (4-6) (2-3 H) lost in NY Jets 27-30, in Week 11 and sit one game back for the Titans in the AFC South. QB Matt Schaub made 19 of 33 passes for 254 yards with one TD. RB Arian Foster had 22 carries for 84 yards with two TD’s, while WR Joel Dreessen made four catches for 106 yards with a TD. Their defense got three sacks and an interception. Despite the Texans losses, they have players at or near the top of several statistical categories.  RB Arian Foster, a product of the University of Tennessee, leads the league with 1,004 rushing yards and became the first player this season to reach the 1,000-yard mark.  QB Matt Schaub is eighth in the league with 2,574 passing yards, and his primary target, WR Andre Johnson, is fifth with 813 receiving yards. The Texans offense is ranked seventh best overall (369ypg) with a 12th ranked pass game (242ypg) and the NFL’s eighth best running game (127ypg). They score the ninth most points per-game (24.4ppg). Arian Foster leads the Texans offense with 13 TD’s. The Texans battle the Titans 24th ranked defense (362ypg), their 26th ranked pass rush (258ypg) and their 11th ranked rush defense (103ypg). The Titans allow the ninth least points per-game (19.8ppg). Micheal Griffin has four interceptions for the Titans.
