The Jaguars (6-4) beat Buffalo 18-15 at home in Week 11 and now sit second in the AFC South. QB David Garrard made 21 of 30 passes for 215 yards with one TD and an interception; overall he’s thrown for 2,303 yards with eight TD’s and six interceptions for a 83.9 passer rating. RB Maurice Jones-Drew had 25 carries for 66 yards with a TD, while WR Mike Sims-Walker made eight catches for 91 yards with a TD. They made only 2-4 in the red zone, but went 2-2 on goal to go. When RB Maurice Jones-Drew is able to get in the open field, his quickness and power enable him to go a long ways. The Jaguars are far better when he gets on a roll. In the team's six wins this year, he has 10 touchdowns, but in their four losses, he has just three. Overall he has 926 yards rushing with 13 TD’s and he’ll be up against the Niners sixth ranked rush defense. The Jags defense is ranked 23rd overall, but they’ve played some solid defense at times this year. The problem is that the Jaguars are known to go through lapses on that side of the ball. If they fall asleep against the Niners, RB Frank Gore, he has the explosion to make them pay with a long run or two . The Jags have averaged 22ppg and allowed 19.3ppg in their last three games. They are 2-3 SU on the road where they average 16ppg and allow 26.2ppg. They are 4-6 ATS and 6-4 over/under.

The Niners (4-6) lost art Green Bay 24-30 in Week 11 and still sit second in the NFC West. QB Alex Smith made 16 of 33 passes for 227 yards with three TD’s and an interception; overall he’s thrown for 1,035 yards with nine TD’s and seven interceptions for a 81.5 passer rating. RB Frank Gore had seven carries for 59 yards and he made a 10 yard catch for a TD. WR Vernon Davis made six catches for 108 yards with a TD and WR Michael Crabtree made four catches for 77 yards with a TD. The 49ers have gone just 1-5 since a 3-1 start, and are now on the outside fringes of the playoff chase. Coach Mike Singletary got the team on a roll at the end of last season, and he will have to work similar magic this year if San Francisco wants to have any chance of making the postseason. Their best chance to move the chains will be to use their 23rd ranked running game against the Jags 25th ranked rush defense. RB Frank Gore leads the Niners with 610 yards rushing and eight TD’s, while their top WR Vernon Davis has eight TD’s, he is currently tied for second in the NFL in TD catches. QB Alex Smith is putting points on the score board; he has 1,035 yards passing with nine TD’s and has only one game out of six starts without a TD pass. When Alex Smith has at least a 95 passer rating, the Niners are 5-0 . … San Francisco's Vernon Davis with eight touchdown catches. The Niners have averaged 20.3ppg and allowed 23.3ppg in their last three games. They are 3-2 SU at home where they average 21ppg and allow 19ppg. They are 6-2-2 ATS and 5-5 over/under.
