Philadelphia Eagles vs Seattle Seahawks Spread Thursday Night Football Game 2011: Thursday night football brings together two struggling teams who started the season with very high expectations. Considering these were both playoff teams a year ago, neither Andy Reid nor Pete Carroll were able to live up to the pressure, and have simply crumbled before our eyes.
The (4-7) Philadelphia Eagles [-3] will head to CenturyLink Field to take on the NFL Point Spreads underdogs (4-7) Seattle Seahawks [+3], in what will be a must-win game for both teams. Both the Eagles and Seahawks are coming off tough losses that could have sealed their fate for consecutive postseason appearances.
For the Vick-less Eagles, Vince Young’s efforts against the mighty Patriots simply fell short, as the defense crumbled. Allowing three Tom Brady scores and two TDs on the ground from running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Philly’s season might have come to an end on a humiliating, 20-38 rout.
Young, who has done a terrific job in Vick’s absence, couldn’t get any help, as he threw for over Young 400 passing yards. When it was all over, the Eagles left the field serenaded by “Fire Andy” chants. After the game, the Eagles did their best to keep the situation from spinning out of control… but is it too late for Reid to get some Brotherly Love in Philly?
"Andy [Reid] is a tremendous guy," Young said. "I have the utmost respect for him. Fans don't understand some of the situations that goes on during the game. You can't put it all on Andy. We're going to always continue to keep fighting hard, playing hard for him."
