The Patriot running game struggled as well as RB Maroney rushed for only 31 yards on 10 carriers. Regardless of last weeks’ outcome this one appears to be another blowout on the horizon as SportsBetting.com has the Patriots listed as -20.5 favorites.
The Ravens after another pitiful performance last week come into this one with a five game losing streak. After making the playoffs last year and losing to eventual Champion Indianapolis, the Ravens just haven’t been the same. Much can be attributed to their absolute absence of an offense. The Ravens had to once again turn to QB Kyle Boller as the aged Steve McNair continued to battle injuries. Boller proceeded to go 21 of 33 for 191 and one touchdown while putting only 14 points on the board. RG Willis McGahee whom they acquired in the off season to bolster their running game had only 59 yards on 17 carriers.
Baltimore will certainly go into this game on the wrong side of history they are 1-6 ATS in their L7 games versus teams who pass for 253 or more yards per game and 1-3 against offenses gaining more than 6 yards per play. Compounding the problem is that New England is 9-2 ATS as a road favorite.
