Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Week 13 PicksThe Texans (5-6) lost to Indianapolis 27-35 at home in Week 12 and now sit last in the AFC South. QB Matt Schaub made 31 of 42 passes for 284 yards with two TD’s and two interceptions; overall he’s thrown for 3,242 yards with 21 TD’s and 11 interceptions for a 97.7 passer rating. RB Steve Slayton had 10 carries for 57 yards, while RB Chris Brown had 11 carries for 56 yards with a TD. WR Kevin Walter made seven catches for 73 yards, while WR Jacoby Jones and FB Vonta Leach each added a TD. Houston’s defense collapsed in the fourth quarter allowing the Colts 21 points and the win.  Houston's best pass rusher, Mario Williams, has failed to tally more than one sack in a single game this season, and he has also been unable to record a sack in successive games. The Texans 15th ranked pass defense will go head to head with the Jags 16th ranked pass game. LB Brian Cushing leads the Texans with three interceptions; he picked off Peyton Manning last week. The Texans offense is all about airing out the ball, they have the third best pass game in the league that will do battle against the Jags 26th ranked pass defense . The Jags CB Rashean Mathis leads his squad with three interceptions, but has missed two consecutive games with a leg injury. He’s listed as doubtful and you can be sure Texans QB Schaub will exploit his replacement. Brian Cushing leads all rookies with 99 tackles and QB Matt Schaub has a 105.3 passer rating in three career outings against the Jaguars. The Texans have averaged 20.3ppg and allowed 25ppg in their last three games. They are 3-2 SU on the road where they average 26.2ppg and allow 21.2ppg. They are 5-5-1 ATS and 4-7 over/under.

The Jaguars (6-5) lost at San Francisco 3-20 in Week 12 and still sit second in the AFC South. QB David Garrard made 25 of 36 passes for 307 yards; overall he’s thrown for 2,610 yards with eight TD’s and six interceptions for a 85.1 passer rating. RB Maurice Jones-Drew had 15 carries for 75 yards, while WR Mike Thomas made four catches for 62 yards. Despite hitting all receivers the Jags offense went 0-4 in the red zone and 0-1 on goal to go. RB Maurice Jones-Drew is able to almost single-handedly win games . He did so the first time around against the Texans with three rushing TD’s. The Jaguars need a similar performance from him this time around to sweep the season series. The Jags eighth ranked running game will have its way with the Texans 22nd ranked rush defense. RB Jones-Drew has 1,001 yards rushing with 13 TD’s. Last week, against the Colts, was the first time in five games in which Jones-Drew failed to score a TD. Jacksonville has won two in a row over Houston at home. The Jags have averaged 15ppg and allowed 19ppg in their last three games. They are 4-1 SU at home where they average 23.8ppg and allow 20.8ppg. They are 4-7 ATS and 6-5 over/under.
