With both teams on losing streaks going into Week 14 the Kansas City Chiefs play their NFL Picks rival Denver Broncos. The Chiefs who have lost five in row have all but eliminated themselves from playoff contention. After sitting at 4-3 and in the thick of the race they are now 4-8 SU and tied with Oakland for last place in their division. The big reason for Kansas City's swoon is their horrible offense. The Chiefs are third-worst in both total offense averaging 280.7 yards per game and scoring offense at 14.3 points per game. In addition then have scored only 17 points after halftime over their last three games and have not scored in the fourth quarter in four straight games. The Chiefs are hoping that QB Brodie Croyle will be ready to go as he was able to complete 17-of-30 passes for 162 yards with an interception the last time that he faced Denver. BetUs.com has Denver the favorite in this one at -6.5 points.
After moving into a first place tie with the San Diego Chargers back in early November, the Denver Broncos have done nothing but to backwards. Off of a 2 game losing streak they sit at 5-7 SU and will be eliminated from AFC West contention with a loss against the Chiefs along with a San Diego win at Tennessee this week. The Broncos are also two games back of the final wild-card spot in the AFC and could be out of the playoff hunt if they lose this game. Denver is hoping that QB Jay Cutler can repeat his last performance versus the Chiefs as he completed 17-of-29 for 192 yards with a touchdown. He has seems to love home cooking as he has completed 70.2 percent of his passes for 712 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions in his last three home games. However, Cutler is coming off a game where he struggled going 16-of-32 for 214 yards and two interceptions. There might be hope for the Denver faithful as they are 6-0 SU & 5-1 ATS when hosting Kansas City. However, keep in mind that the Broncos are a horrible 2-10 ATS their L12 as a home favorite. Even though Kansas City has lost five in a row the have played well in games looking for revenge going 8-1 ATS in their L9 opportunities to avenge a loss. For total players the over is 9-3 in the L12 meetings in this series.
Denver still has slim hopes of playoff action while Kansas City does not, but will all that matter in this rivalry?
