Oakland Raiders vs Green Bay Packers Spreads 2011 NFL Predictions Week 14: Historic Lambeau Field on Lombardi Ave will be the site for a Week 14 battle between the (7-5) Oakland Raiders [+12] and the unbeaten (12-0) Green Bay Packers [-12]. This interconference showdown is scheduled to get underway today at 4:15 PM ET on CBS Sports.
According to NFL Point Spreads experts, the Raiders and Packers are projected to combine and score an OVER/UNDER total of 51.5 points. These are two teams who find themselves in completely contrasting positions late in the season. For the Packers, they’ve already clinched the NFC North title, and will likely end up with the best record in the NFL. For the Raiders, their AFC West lead has disappeared with the emergence of the Denver Broncos as playoff contenders.
Oakland’s injuries cannot be understated, as Hue Jackson’s best players haven’t been available. After going into Miami and playing their worst game of the season, things don’t look much better for the Raiders this week. With Darren McFadden still out with a foot injury, Michael Bush will once again be asked to carry the load; one that proved to be too heavy against the Dolphins defense.
“They’re the team to beat,” Jackson said of facing the Packers. “It’s going to be a great challenge but that’s what the NFL is all about. I mean these challenges don’t get any easier, they get harder and the teams you play are better and that’s why we need to make sure we become better and accept these challenges and go play well.”
For Green Bay, all the talk is about Aaron Rodgers MVP season, of course, their undefeated record. With the opportunity to join the Patriots and the Dolphins as the only teams to go through the regular season unbeaten, questions about a 16-0 season will be heard on a weekly basis.
“I’m not going to talk about 16-0 or anything,” Rodgers said. “We got the playoff spot, division, hopefully getting the first-round bye and then fortunate enough to be undefeated and I want to talk about something else.”
