The Colts should feel more than fortunate as the schedule gods have smiled on them for the second week in a row. Indianapolis will host the league's worst team this weekend, the Detroit Lions, after hosting the 1-11-1 Bengals last Sunday. The game is set to get under way at 1:00pm ET at Lucas Oil Stadium. NFL Picks at BetUS.com have the winless Lions listed as a +17 road dog.
Colts Breakdown: Indianapolis crawled out of the gates this season, but they have worked themselves into a full blown sprint in recent weeks. The 9-4 Colts 35-3 win over Cincinnati last Sunday was their sixth in a row and their eighth win in their last 10 games. However, despite Indy's strong run, the Titans near flawless record has the Colts vying for a Wildcard spot in the AFC.
Indianapolis is 4-2 in their new home and they have held opponents to a 16.6 point per game average at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Lions Breakdown: Detroit is suffering through their usual dismal season, but this time around it would appear to be worse than normal. At 0-13, the Lions could very well put together a winless season with games against New Orleans and Green Bay to finish out the schedule. Detroit did, however, have a solid effort last week in a 16-20 loss to the Vikings.
The Lions, who are 0-6 on the road, have lost their away games by an average of 8.8 points.
NFL Picks Betting Trend: The Lions are 1-5 straight up in their last six games with a spread between 14 to 17.5.
Lions +17 (-110), Over 45 (-110)
Colts -17 (-110), Under 45 (-110)
