In a matchup of NFL Picks fight for the final NFC Playoff spot, the Arizona Cardinals take to road and visit the “Big Easy” and the New Orleans Saints in Week 15 action. The Cardinals who had looked to make a late season run to the playoffs got crushed by the Seattle Seahawks last week in a key West Division contest 42-21. QB Kurt Warner is coming off a game to forget as he was intercepted five times and sacked him five times during the route. He finished the day going 28 of 46 for 305 yards. With Arizona having to play catchup all day long RB Edgerrin James was a non factor as he rushed for only 46 yards on 13 carries. The Arizona defense was shredded by Seattle QB Hasselbeck as he threw for 272 yards and four touchdowns. The Saints seem to have the public backers as SBGglobal.com has installed them as a -3.5 favorite.
After a crucial last minute loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers not a week before the New Orleans Saints bounced back to keep their slim playoff hopes alive as they dismantled the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night. With Reggie Bush watching from the sideline, Drew Brees passed for 328 yards and three touchdowns looking like the quarterback of years past. The running game didn’t seem to have a problem without Bush as replacement RB Aaron Stecker rushed for 100 yards on 20 carries. The Atlanta defense really didn’t pose much opposition to the New Orleans offense as they moved the ball all night long with four scoring drives that covered at least 75 yards, including a 99-yarder.
Up to last weeks game the Arizona Cardinals have done well on the road this season and that should bode well for them this week as New Orleans is only 15-34 ATS at home versus losing teams since ‘92, and 4-15 ATS if listed as a favorite. The Saints are also 2-4 SU & 1-5 ATS at home this season.
The loser in this one will be out of the playoffs with the survivor holding on for another week.
