The St. Louis Rams can’t wait to finish the season in Week 17 as they travel to the “Valley of the Sun” in and NFL Picks game versus the Arizona Cardinals. The Rams sit a horrible 3-12 SU on the season and are coming off their fourth loss in a row. Should the Rams lose this game it will be their worst season since 1991. In their game versus the Steelers QB Marc Bulger passed for 208 yards and a season-high three touchdowns but also had two interceptions to give him five in his last three games. With all of their injuries this season the Rams offense was no longer the “greatest show on turf” as they ranked 22nd in the NFL gaining only 301 total yards per game. The Arizona Cardinals come into this one hoping to end the season with a non-losing mark for the first time since 1998. The Cardinals sit at 7-8 SU and have already posted their most win total in a single season since 2001. The Cardinals also are going for their first three-game home winning streak since Oct. 3-Nov. 13, 2004, and their third since moving to Arizona. QB Kurt Warner who was expected to be only a backup this season but had to step in for the injury Matt Leinart had a good game last week as he was 36 of 53 for 361 yards with three touchdown passes. Arizona has been on a roll offensively as they have been averaging 28.4 points per game during their current 4-3 run.
St. Louis backers can only hope that the Rams haven’t checked out for the season as they are only 3-12 SU & 5-10 ATS and has been blown out by an average of 15 points per game since their last win. The Cardinals won the earlier meeting between the teams and that also doesn’t bode well for the Rams as they are 6-18 ATS in their L24 attempts revenging a same season loss. They are also 4-13 ATS coming off a loss of 14 points or more.
