Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots

by Alexander Banks on Saturday, November 4th, 2006

A tough New England Patriots defense faces an aerial assault in the hands of Peyton Manning and his targets Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne who will look to score fast and early in the gam.  If they can get a lead early they will look to running back Joseph Addai to gain first downs on the ground to kill the clock.  Peyton has not had too much success in Foxboro, but this year could prove to be the difference.

Neither team can afford to lay off the throttle but the team that scores and manages the clock better will most likely win. Tom Brady on the other hand is considered Mr. Miracle Maker and will rely on Corey Dillon and Laurence Maroney to control the time of possession against a weak run stopping Indianapolis Colts defense.  The line opened up at the Patriots -1 but the sharps quickly bet that line up to -3.  The sharp money believes Brady will pull out a win against Manning for the Patriots .

Vegas will always tweak the line inevitably when there is no clear opinion. This game can swing either way and we could expect a shoot out leading to lots of scores, but then again it could be a game of strategy and wits that could go under with all plays being calculated to kill the opponent with the clock.

We’ve got two very methodical quarterbacks in this game. Both are efficient passers and both are extremely intelligent and experienced.  I am going against the sharp money on this one and taking Manning and the Colts to win this time. Bet on NFL Football at BetRoyal.

Colts +3
