Close call for Indianapolis
Peyton Manning and Chad Pennington went head to head in a showdown on Sunday afternoon. New York kept Indy on their toes, pulling out all the tricks they knew. Indy surprised everyone when Peyton Manning had a 1 yard touchdown with less than a minute on the board. Another win for the Colts beating the Jets 31-28.
Texans put a stop on Miami
David Carr scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 1-yard run and the Texans survived a late rally by Miami for a 17-15 victory.
The Dolphins trailed 17-9 when Daunte Culpepper found Chris Chambers for a 16-yard touchdown with 1:39 to go. Miami went for the 2-point conversion, but the pass by running back Ronnie Brown sailed over Chambers' head.
Carolina pulled out a win over New Orleans
Jake Delhomme threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Drew Carter midway through the fourth quarter to put Carolina ahead to stay as the Panthers handed New Orleans its first loss of the season Sunday, 21-18.
Buffalo turned one out beating Minnesota
The Bills defense carried the day as they recorded a pair of takeaways and sent the Vikings offense three-and-out six times on the day in a 17-12 Buffalo win.
Close win for the Ravens
McNair brought the unbeaten Ravens back for the second week in a row, throwing a 10-yard pass to Todd Heap with 34 seconds left to defeat the San Diego Chargers 16-13 Sunday.
