When we say it was another crazy week in the NFL, we mean it! Upsets were the theme in Week 9, as Miami, Detroit, Washington and San Francisco all pulled off big wins. Meanwhile, the Texans, Browns and Steelers very nearly did the deed as well. Here’s a look at how your money was spent in Week 9.

Buffalo 24 Packers 10
Never was there a more surefire road dog pick. We had Favre and co. to win outright in Buffalo and they should have! If not for a pathetic four turnovers, Green Bay wins this one easily. It was infuriating to Green Bay backers, as clearly their team outplayed the home squad. Another home favorite covers.
So much for Michael Vick being the next Joe Montana. Bettors were too quick to anoint him as a complete quarterback. When you can’t put up numbers versus the Lions, then you are not dominant. Detroit was a nice home dog win for the spread and the money line.
Jacksonville 37 Titans 7
It was eerily similar to the Jets blowout a few weeks ago. The Jaguars did what they had to do against a lesser opponent, but can they keep it going? The total team points and spread bets were easy covers here.
New York (G) 14 Houston 10
It was a touch and go for money line Giants backers into the fourth quarter in this one, but Eli Manning rallied the troops for a big win. The Texans are not going to cover every week, even when double-digit underdogs, but they can surprise every once in a while. The under was definitely the play in this game.

Kansas City 31 St. Louis 17
This was a statement win for the Chiefs on the road. They served notice that they’re for real and are still in the division race. Herm Edwards has Damon Huard looking like the second coming of Len Dawson. Kansas City’s defense is finally getting respectable. A road cover was sweet for KC bettors.
New Orleans 31 Tampa Bay 14
While there are some good pieces in Tampa Bay, they just don’t have enough to compete with the better teams in the league right now. The Saints came out mad and kept it going for 60 minutes. A slight favorite heading into this one, they covered easily and put up an over on the total team points.
Washington 22 Dallas 19
A home dog comes through in a divisional matchup, as the Redskins played well enough to eke one out. Dallas had the better stats offensively, but Mark Brunell seems to have nine lives in DC.
San Francisco 9 Minnesota 3
In what was the ugliest game of the week, the 49ers finally played some defense and handed the Vikings their second straight loss. San Fran was a nice home dog winner and the Vikings are now in trouble.
Denver 31 Pittsburgh 20
A surprising over, as both teams piled up the yards in this game. The Broncos are starting to score some points and covered the spread nicely as a home dog. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh squandered a chance to get back into the playoff chase.
San Diego 32 Cleveland 25
It was a sloppy performance by the Charger D, but they did enough offensively to combat it. The Browns fought hard, but not hard enough. An over and a San Diego cover were in the cards for bettors.
Indianapolis 27 New England 20
It was what we expected to see in a game involving two top teams. The Colts and Pats put on a show, but New England turned the ball over too many times. Indy covered as a road dog. Are you betting they’ll go undefeated?
Seattle 16 Oakland 0
