With the NFL pre-season already underway, there is less than one month before the start of the regular season campaign which means that there is less than one month to get your NFL regular season win total bet in.
Point-Spreads.com has reached out to our friends and NFL Expert Picks analysts at SportsBetting.com to find out what bettors are betting on now. The perceived “bad” teams aren’t as bad as the bookmakers think and the perceived “elite” teams are even better than their lofty win totals suggest.
Oakland Raiders, the team with the lowest win total with five, have garnered the most action by players. Almost 10% of bettors feel that the Oakland Raiders will win more than five games this year.. Cleveland Browns, the team with the next lowest win total at 5.5, have got the backing of 9.5% of wagers.
Two teams are tied for third place among most betting action at 9%: Kansas City, over 7.5; and San Francisco, under 7.5.
Players are backing the three teams with the highest win totals: New England, Indianapolis and San Diego with 11.5, 10.5 and 10.5 respectively. Each of these teams has received more than double the amount of action on the over result versus the under. As a final point of interest, the Atlanta Falcons are currently off the board given the uncertainty at the QB position.
