Seattle Seahawks v. Indianapolis Colts Hightlights

Seattle Seahawks v. Indianapolis Colts HightlightsThe Seattle Seahawks defeated the Indiapolis Colts 30 to 17.  Despite the loss, Peyton Manning went 6 for 9 with 140 yards passing and threw 1 touchdown.  Matt Hasselbeck was 8 for 9 for 88 yards and no touchdowns. 

The Colts looked great on offense with the first team.  The Indiapolis Colts wanted to establish that they can run without Edgerin James.  The Colts look great in the air.  Peyton Manning is doing well at calling audibles at the line of scrimmage.

Pre season games are all about giving the backups plenty of playing time.  Seneca Wallace was 10 of 15 as the Seahawks backup.  Third string quarterback Sean King came in and played most of the games since the backup John Sorgi went down with an injury after throwing an interception.  King went 14 of 22 for 146 yards. 

Here is a breakdown of all the scoring drives in the game.

Seahawks 0 – Colts: 7

Reggie Wayne caught a 30 yard dart from Manning to score a touchdown on the opening drive. 

 

Seahawks: 3 – Colts 7

The Seattle Seahawks answer with a field goal in their first offensive series.

 

Marvin Harrison caught the opening ball from Peyton Manning to start the Colts second series.  Tight End Ben Utecht caught the ball, then fumbled after a big gain.  The Seahawks recovered on their own 23 yard line.  Hasselbeck took over but was unable to get past the Colts defense so they punted away.

 

Seahawks: 10 – Colts: 7

Seattle scored after an impressive drive by Bobby Engram and Matt Hasselback.

 

Seahawks: 17 – Colts: 7

On the following posession Sorgi threw an intercept that was returned for a touchdown.  Sorgi was slightly injuried on the play.

 

Seahawks: 20 – Colts: 7

Shaun King took over as the Indianapolis Colts quarterback.  King was unable to move the team and the Colts punted.  Josh Brown hit a 39 yard field goal. 

 

Seattle: 20 – Colts 10

Seneca Wallace took over as the Seattle Seahawks quarterback and was unable to move the ball on the opening series of the second half.  The Colts took over and drove down the field well.  Adam Vinatieri kicked a 23 yard field goal to cap off the drive.

 

Seattle: 23 – Colts: 10

Josh Brown kicked a 35 yard field goal capping off a 14 play drive that went 57 yards.

 

Seattle: 30 – Colts 10

Chris Spencer recovered a fumble for a touchdown.

 

Seattle: 30 – Colts 17

Tony Hollings had a 1 yard touchdown run.  The score capped off a 5 play, 80 yard drive by the Colts behind Shaun King at quarterback.
