Sony Open PredictionsThe PGA Tour is back in full swing with this weekend’s Sony Open in Hawaii, at Waialae Country Club. Last year’s winner, K.J. Choy, looks to repeat at +1400 odds, something only three other players have done. PGA oddsmakers at SBGglobal.com have Ernie Els listed as +700 moneyline favorite to win the Sony Open. Els is a two time Sony Open Champion winning back to back in 2003-04. Get your Sony Open Predictions in now at SBGglobal.com

Ernie Els likes to get off to a fast start. In his last four tour starts, the Big Easy has three finishes of T6 or better, and he has never finished outside the Top 5 at the Sony Open. He finished in 20th place on the 2008 PGA Tour moneylist. Ernie Els is listed as +700 moneyline favorite to win the Sony Open for the third time.

Geoff Ogilvy won last week’s Mercedes-Benz Championship with a six shot lead over Anthony Kim, the new Tiger Woods of the PGA. He finished in 15th place on the 2008 PGA Tour moneylist. Geoff Ogilvy is listed at +750 to win.

KJ Choi loves playing at Waaialae, it’s a tight and short course that suits the defending champion's fairways and greens game perfectly. Always patient and in control, the South Korean's game will be unaffected by the wind. He had only one win last year, the Sony Open, but he had five Top 10 finishes. He finished 16th on the 2008 PGA Tour moneylist. KJ Choi is listed at +1400 to win back to back at the Sony Open.

Davis Love III did well last week at the Mercedes-Benz Championship where he finished T2. He loves to play at Waialae Country Club where he has five Top 10 finishes. He won the final event on the PGA Tour last year and he’s ready to have a great year in 2009, after finishing a dismal 48th on the 2008 PGA Tour moneylist. Davis Love is listed at +1500 to win.

Zach Johnson is fresh off the Mercedes-Benz Championship where he finished T6 after his final two rounds featured 13 birdies, one eagle and, most importantly, no bogeys. One of the tour's best ballstrikers, his game is well-suited to Waialae. He finished a dismal 53rd on the 2008 PGA Tour moneylist. Zach Johnson is listed at +2200 to win.
