2010 Masters Tournament Picks: When the 2010 Masters gets underway on Thursday, all eyes will be on Tiger Woods to see if the world's best golfer shows any rust from his time off. Other notable contenders in the bookmaker's 2010 Masters Tournament Picks include Phil Mickelson (+800), Ernie Els (+900), Padraig Harrington (+1550), and Lee Westwood (+1800).
It has been five months since Tiger Woods has played competitive golf, but the betting public obviously feels that he 
will be in top form come this weekend. That may not be as ludicrous as it sounds in view of Woods history at Augusta National. The 34 year old California native has an average finish of 6.5 in 13 Masters appearances, which includes wins in 1997, 2001, 2001, and 2005. He has finished outside the top 10 at the Masters just three times, taking 18th in 1999, 15th in 2003, and 22nd in 2004.
Phil Mickelson has also played well at the Masters, winning the Green Jacket in 2004 with a score of 279 (-9) and in 2006 with a final tally of 281 (-7). Since 2000, Mickelson has finished outside the top 10 at Augusta just one time (24th in 2007). He finished fifth in last year's Masters, again notching a score of 279.
Ernie Els has three major wins on his resume, but the South African has never donned the Green Jacket. Els was runner at the event in 2000 and 2004, but he has missed the cut at Augusta the last three years. Still, the Johannesburg native enters this week's festivites atop the PGA Tour's money list with a total of $3,048,641 made in 2010.
