Steve Stricker had his best outing last year at the Masters where he finished T6. Since ‘02 he either missed the cut or didn’t play. At last year’s majors he didn’t do too well finishing T23 at the US Open, T52 at the British and missed the cut at the PGA Championship . On Tour this season he’s made all seven cuts with a win at the Northern Trust Open, a third place finish at the Sony Open in Hawaii, a T8 at the Transitions Championship and a T10 at the SBS Championship. He currently ranks T6th in scoring average on the PGA TOUR.
Retief Goosen has done very well at the Masters with four top five finishes since ’02 , but had a bad outing last year failing to make the cut. Since ’02 he’s been in the top 25, except ’09. Last year he finished T16 at the US Open, which he’s a two time winner of, T5 at the British Open and T51 at the PGA Championship. He always seems to be around at the tournaments that matter. This season on Tour he’s made six of seven cuts with five top 10 finishes. His best finish was at the Sony Open in Hawaii where he finished fourth, T4 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard, T5 at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship and fifth at the Transitions Championship. He’s so close to a green jacket he’s got his size lined up. He currently ranks T19th in scoring average on the PGA TOUR.
