Masters Odds 2010: Paul Casey vs Ian Poulter Masters Picks: Englishmen Paul Casey and Ian Poulter come into this week's Masters Tournament playing excellent golf, which is why they are both listed at -115 moneyline odds in their head-to-head match up at Bodog.com. Golf fans favoring Casey can catch the Arizona State product at 10:02am tomorrow when he tees off with Group 12; Poulter backers can see their man at 1:31pm when Group 30 hits the tee box.
Paul Casey may be playing the best golf of any player on Tour this year as he has recorded four top 10 finishes in four
events played. His best result came at the WGC: Accenture Match in February when he took second place. Casey, who was born in Cheltenham, England, took sixth place in his last PGA outing at the World Golf Championships in California.
Casey has two top ten finishes in five appearances at Augusta National, but his best performance occurred in his Masters debut in 2004. The former Sun Devil, who has 10 career European Tour wins, placed sixth that year with a two under par score of 286. Casey tied for 20th at Augusta last April with same two under par tally.
Ian Poulter, like his English counterpart, has shown himself well on the links this season, ranking seventh on the Tour moneylist despite playing in just four events. Most of the cash came at the Accenture Match when the 34 year old just edged Casey to get the win. Poulter did miss the cut at his last PGA sanctioned event, shooting a 146 at the Transitions Championship in March.
Poulter has made a bid for the Green Jacket five times in his career, but he has never managed to crack the top 10. His best Augusta finish, in terms of placement, came in 2007 when he shot eight over par. The Stevenage native tied for 20th last year, equalling Casey's two under par total.
