Through two rounds of play at Augusta National, Chad Campbell and Kenny Perry are locked in a tie for first at nine under par. The third round of Masters action will begin today at 10:35am ET with Stuart Appleby and Ryuji Imada teeing off first. Campbell and Perry, who are paired together, will tee off at 2:45pm ET. Tiger Woods will continue his pursuit of a fifth Masters title at 1:05pm ET. Masters Odds Update at Sportsbook.com has the 48 year old Perry listed as the favorite to take home the fabled Green Jacket at +400 moneyline odds. Tiger Woods, who is currently 19th at two under par, is close behind at +450 on the moneyline. Campbell, a native of Andrews, Texas, had an unbelieveable opening round on Thursday, shooting a -7 to finish at 65. He recorded five more birdies yesterday, but bogeys on 11, 12 and 17 limited him to a two under par score of 70. The UNLV product has now hit 14 birdies through the first two rounds of play. Perry, who would be the oldest player to ever win a major championship should he go on to don the Green Jacket, had a stellar outing on Thursday as well, garnering six birdies while avoiding the dreaded bogey altogether. He had an even better day yesterday as he hit a five under par 67. Perry, who hails from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, has not played in The Masters since 2005, but he has recorded more PGA tournament wins than any other golfer in the past 12 months (four). Tigers Woods played reasonably well through the first two rounds, but he took a step back on Friday, shooting an even par 72. Woods alternated birdie/bogey on holes six through nine and he recorded one of each on the back nine. However, with two rounds left to play, the four time Green Jacket winner remains within striking distance of Campbell and Perry. Other notables include two-time Masters winner Phil Mickelson, who is currently sitting at three under after shooting a 68 on Friday, and Sergio Garcia. Garcia is in the mix at four under par, if he were able to win the event, it would be the first major championship of his career. Sportsbook.com's Masters Odds Update: Kenny Perry +400 Tiger Woods +450 Chad Campbell +700 Angel Cabrera +700 Phil Mickelson +1000 Sergio Garcia +1200 Jim Furyk +1500 Padraig Harrington +2500 Vijay Singh +3000 |
